About the Conference

Teaching being the oldest profession still holds its nobility because its service more than a job. Transformation of student minds from Ekalayva then who obeyed his teacher without hesitation and now teachers being stabbed to death for immature reasons, teaching has become more challenging. In this rank racing world it is essential that teachers should equip science and technology skills hand in hand which makes teaching learning process exciting and innovative. This International conference focuses on empowering next generation teachers thorugh science and technology.

To create awareness among educators and physical educators on new education policy.

About Bharathiar University, Coimbatore

The Bharathiar University was established at Coimbatore by the Government of Tamil Nadu in February, 1982 under the provision of Bharathiar University Act, 1981 (Act 1 of 1982). In May, 1985 the University received the recognition from University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi for the purpose of grants. The University is named after the great national poet Subramania Bharathi is enshrined with the motto “Educate to Elevate”. In the University, every effort is harnessed to realize his dream of making educational institutions as temple of learning. The University has 130 affiliated Colleges. It is re-accredited with “A” grade by NAAC and ranked 14th among the Indian Universities by MHRD-NIRF. The DST, New Delhi is sanctioned over 10 Crores under FIST (Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology) grant to the Eight Departments of the University to augment research facilities. It is established the DRDO-BU Centre for Life Sciences as a joint venture by DRDO, Bharathiar University and Government of Tamil Nadu to engage research in advanced areas of Life Sciences and Multidisciplinary areas which are relevant to defence.

About Department of Physical Education

The Department of Physical Education began its post graduate programmes M.P.Ed., / M.Phil., / Ph.D in the academic year 2002-2003.B.P.Ed., and M.P.Ed., programmes have been recognized by NCTE with current methodology of curriculum. The vision of the department is to shape the students into skilful, emotionally adjusted individuals integrated with skills, studies and research activities be at institution or in the community in which he/she lives which would in turn help in the all-round development of a teaching personality.  

          Every student of the department has the opportunity to be in touch with the latest information with regard to techniques, rules and interpretations of various games through modern teaching aids. As an exemplary department of learning physical education and sports, the department admits students entirely on the basis of merit in sports academics. The admission policy encourages students from all stages of our country. The department is equipped with laboratory facilities to conduct various physical and motor fitness tests, cardio-pulmonary test, body composition, attitude and aptitude tests. Also our department has facilities for games like indoor Kabaddi (synthetic), Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton and Outdoor 50m Swimming pool, Football, Hockey, Cricket and Track and Field. The department of physical education ever since its inception has been conducting many Inter-University, Inter-Collegiate and open tournaments in the field if sports and participating in the All India Inter-University tournaments. The department coordinates the games and sports activities of the affiliated colleges and provides opportunities for the students to demonstrate their competence in inter-collegiate sports meets. The department is also responsible for the selection of the university teams to participate in the All India Inter-University tournaments.

About Department of Education

The Department of Education, Bharathiar University was started in March,2012 with an objective of bringing out effective and efficient Teacher Educators besides ensuring quality and need based researches in the field of Education. At present, the Department offers M.Phil., and Ph.D Programmes in Education (Both Full-time & Part time). The University has proposed to start the M.Ed., Programme from 2013-2014 with due recognition of the NCTE. The Department emphasizes a shift from mass teaching to personalized instruction, single learning to multiple learning, rigid teacher dominated to flexible learner centered classroom environment. The thrust areas of research in the Department are Educational Psychology. Education Technology, environment Education, Pedagogical Techniques, Instructional Designs, Media in Education, Web – Based Learning, English Language Teaching, etc.

Call for Papers

The participants are requested to send the full paper directly. Efforts have been made to publish the selected full-length research papers in a proceedings book with ISBN number from renowned publisher. The book will be given to the delegates during the inaugural function of the conference. The full-length paper should not exceed 10–15 pages (including tables, figures and references). The paper should be in Microsoft (MS) word (Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5), Title, author’s name and affiliation should be center aligned. Keywords (font size 10) should be limited to 5 words. The research papers should be submitted by e-mail to budpejournal@gmail.com on or before 15th July 2020.

Oral/Poster Presentation

The corresponding authors are requested to indicate their choice for oral/poster presentation. The scientific committee will decide on the suitability of paper for oral or poster presentation. The poster should clearly contain the title, author (s) name, affiliation (s) and address (s). The size of the poster should be with a dimension of 4 feet height × 3 feet width. The content of the poster should be easily readable from a distance of 2-3 meters. Poster should be in one piece either in flex or laminated sheet. Each oral presentation by the participants is restricted to 10 minutes including discussion. Best oral or poster presentations will be awarded during valedictory function.

Registration and Conference Fee Details

The participants are requested to send the filled in registration form to the Organizing Secretary along with the registration fee on or before 15th March 2020. The registration fee includes conference kit, session refreshments and boarding. The conference registration fee should be made in advance by Demand Draft / online transfer in favour of the ‘Organizing Secretary-Life science conference’ payable at Coimbatore and send to the following address.
